“Autoharp” musical instrument maker trade card

$99.00

It has a gorgeous image of the autoharp in great detail on one side, and a busy image of the factory with horse-drawn wagons on the other side. Printed by “Theo. Leonhardt & Son, Phila.” (a less-known lithographer/steel plate engraver). The card has no tears, stains or creases, (only some wear at the center fold because this is on very thick paper stock) and it is approx. 9-3/8 inches wide X 6-11/16 inches high as you see it opened up (23.8 cm. X 16.9 cm.).

Description

This is a fantastic color-litho. and engraved trade card for C.F. Zimmerman Co. (out of Dolgeville, NY) for their ‘Autoharp patented May 9th, 1882, with New System of Figure Music’; this is a printers’ proof of an advertising trade card folder, because it has the printers’ centering marks in each of the white triangles, the white rectangle at the bottom where the local seller’s name would be is blank, and the inside of this oversized two-page piece is completely blank as well.
