This is a typical Victorian image of the agricultural life that they wished they had–life was actually very hard for most farm worker families. The reverse is textual advertising, with some obvious glue marks. The card has no tears or creases, so it is in very good condition save for the reverse stains. It is approx. 6 inches wide X 3-1/2 inches high (15.3 cm. X 8.9 cm.).
This is a great trade card for the Case & Willard Thresher Co. (out of Battle Creek, Mich.) for their Advance Thresher Engine showing a little girl and her dog playing by a pool of water, while in the background you can see the farm machine in red and yellow with a farm house and barn farther in the distance.
